Overall I am really happy with the game we managed to produce, I think it is very fun to play through and has an element of replayability through some of the games tough decisions. I really liked the fact that we made the game constantly take turns and not making it predictable e.g. Losing more Ants then you gain through helping protect the ants from the bird. Thought that the artwork worked really well with the style of game we were trying to produce (Kids story book style) with the style also throwing people off as the story it’s self could get dark.

If we were given more time I would have liked to have had more images for each scene though I am aware that each image took a while to make. Would have also liked to have added in a class system into the game e.g. Worker ants, army ants, flying ants etc. Think this would have added in a unique feature into the game and something that we could have done a lot with.

Things I would do differently:

I think that it would have been good for us to test the game a bit more especially sending that game to other people for them to play test and give us more feedback to improve upon.

Things learnt:

I have learnt a lot through this project not just learning the software Twine and HTMl and CSS. But also working in a group with someone from a different field, this was a new experience for me but an experience that I really enjoyed ,as by working with someone from a different area of the subject (In this case Amalie was studying Game Art), this gave a completely new prospective on tasks, for example when I was writing story elements I would also be thinking of the art work that would go along with each scene, making me open up my mine to the scope of the game and what would be possible to produce (especially as we were a group of two). This sprint has also cemented the importance of communication and that if it’s not there then the project already failed.

Overall though this has been a great learning experience, it has been great to relearn languages such as HTML and CSS. But most importantly it’s been a great experience to work with people from other fields and I know that this skill will be vital when it comes to the games industry.
