Boxes, Doors and colour

This sprint I have rigorously gone through the level adding doors and boxes into each of the zones and making sure that the interior colour for each room is appropriate to the zone it is in. As shown by the image below interior panels doors and boxes are all appropriately colour coded.

We have working doors that I have know placed into the game as well as boxes that have yet to have the script added to them in order to play the opening animation. This is why I have left them as the original prefab so once the change/script is made to the original box they will all have the script on them.

Another thing I helped with this week was setting up some of the teleports discussing with our artist Billy how what the placement of the teleporters should be and how many there should be in each zone.
Overall I have made huge progress with the level this week making the level feel more alive and like a space station as well as setting up how the game will feel as the player moves around. I have spent a lot of hours on the project this week so will be taking a bit of time off in order to focus on other projects.
Aside from this we have made huge progress with the build of our game we can now successfully spawn into the level with no issues with textures on the map and the performance being massively improved from previous builds. The only issue we have at the moment is player camera’s where camera will be added to the wrong player but this issue has already been fixed which we should be testing on Friday. To conclude we have made huge strides with the game this week and a playable game is finally in sight.
