Over the final week we have been making a trailer for the game and gameplay footage along with preparing slides to present our final game in the pitch presentation. With the pitch presentation for the game being delivered on the 18th May, we are officially finished with the project.

Level Design:

I am really happy with how the level turned out and feel like I have achieved a lot in the months of this project. More importantly I have learnt loads during this projects development : I have learnt how to use light culling and the importance of appropriately placed lights, how to change materials and shaders on objects, the importance of culling and load distance with relation to performance, using prefabs more efficiently to speed up development and most importantly taking the time to step back and look at the work as a whole and how all the elements work together. This has been a huge learning experience for me and I will definitely be taking what I have learnt in this project into my dissertation and future projects.

Thoughts on project:

I am really happy with how the project turned out and feel like everyone in the group has put in the hours to produce a great game. I do feel like we could have approached the scale of the game better as both the level and the game were far to big and we had to cut a few of the intended features of the game, though I think it was good that we were ambitious for this project. Apart from the issue of scope, I have no complaint about the game our the team, we all put in the hours into the project and we all learnt a great deal from this project, we all turned up to all the meetings and we all voiced our opinions on decisions. Overall this has been a great project and I think we’ve all grown in our specialisms.
