General Updates (12th Feb)

So far in the team me and the other level designer have been making constant changes to how we want the level to be structured. We eventually decided on the map having four different segments. Each segment will have a different colour associated with it and the colours will act as a leveling system i.e. The player will have to be a higher level in order to access the Orange segment but they can access the red segment. For the shape of the segments we’ve decided to go with four large squares and to fill each of these squares will loads of different shaped rooms and corridors. We have also recently acquired an assets pack that we all like and are going to be plugin that into our scene by next week. For me personally I have been making the 3D blockout while the other level designer (Sean) has been providing floor plans for what we want the game to look like and how it should function. We’ll be doing our first test of the game by the end of today and will be making sure that the scaling and other features are appropriate before we start making changes and adding in the asset pack next week.
