Map layout done (27th March)

We’ve hit huge progression milestones this week, we have now got a game that people can connect to along with everyone being able to move independently from each other and a fully connected map set up. From a level design perspective I have added in the Violet, Indigo, Yellow and Orange zones and set up all the zones so that now we have got a fully laid out map, with only the interior left to do and lots of testing. This is huge for us as it means that we no longer have to add anymore sections/zones and means we can focus on adding life to our scene, which will be a nice change of pace for us as level designers.

The only issue that we’ve come across as a team is that we’re having issues with meta files with git, as it seems to miss place/delete a lot of the map layout, we did run into a similar issues before though the same fix doesn’t seem to be working. Fortunately I have a local version of the file saved which was not far behind in terms of work. To keep the work flowing I am planning to continue work on the map in my own branch and get tech support to help out with the issue. Like I said before we’re starting work on the interior for the zones and I have already made a start by making a first pass at the start zone interior.
