This has been a great for me to sink my teeth into, not only pushing me into a new engine but also propelling me into the world of level design. With this project I was able to really focus on creating atmosphere, for which is the direction I want to go with future games as a games designer. I have been really pleased with how this game has turned out, a narrative driven story game that keeps the player hooked and develops and creates an interesting twist in the game. There are areas though that I feel that if given more time I could have developed on more e.g. for one I feel like more of an overall polished could have been given to the game perhaps adding in more buildings into the village done something else with the terrain while maintaining the linear design of the level. Outside of this I would have really liked to have added in my own music, being able to create a peace(s) that gradually changed from a happy peaceful song into something more evil and sinister. With this in mind though, with the time given, I am really proud of what I managed to produce and really feel like I’ve gained a huge breadth of knowledge in both being able to tell a story with the a games atmosphere and learning the basics of the Unreal Engine 4 which is something I will definitely strive to continuing to learn in the future.
