During this week I have collected sound and image files for the 10 different species that I am going to be incorporating into my game. Mostly making sure that everything is free to use and breaches no licensing agreements. I have also been making my billboard sprites cutting out images and making sure that they look they look appropriate to be put in scene.

Example of cut out, Corresponding sound can be found here : https://freesound.org/people/urupin/sounds/122618/

Apart from this I have been making sure that I can display different widgets with each collision box, so far I have a separate trigger box and widget for each animal, though I know there’s a more efficient method of doing this as I have done something similar in previous projects. I will be testing this over the weekend but worst case scenario will be using the current method of having a collision box and widget for each animal, as this won’t affect the game at all.

Overall listening to the different animals sounds and having the different images has further boosted my ambition for this project, especially listening to the animals sounds I can really see how just the audio alone will be a great tool to educate players on local species and help to generate an immersive environment for people to get stuck into.
