In this weeks workshop we were tasked with bringing an aspect of our games that we could play test for our team. The main aspect that we wanted to test before continuing with the game was to see how the level/map affect the feel and flow of the game e.g. As this is a stealth game are there enough objects to hide behind, is the player going to get trapped in corners. From the feedback that we were given we understood that we should open up our map more so instead of small rooms and tight corridors we should have larger rooms and less corridors. This was a really usefully feedback allowing us to redesign areas of the level and making it so that game was creating the right sort of atmosphere.
Looking at other peoples work really allowed me to reflect on what was important within our game/sprint, what features should we as a team be focusing and what should take priority in our tasks in our Agile Methodology. When looking at other peoples work I was able to break down what it was the the team was trying to achieve and what it was as a user that I was suppose to be taking away from this game. By coming in from the user/ player perspective, testing and critiquing other peoples games this made us a team take that sort of mind set and bring it back to our game looking at certain features in the way of how a player would approach it, really approaching our game from the users perspective.
